Congratulations to our COO, Dr. Jacqueline Copeland, on being named a HistoryMaker! The HistoryMakers is a nonprofit research and educational institution committed to preserving the stories and accomplishments of African Americans. The institute’s CivicMakers group specifically honors leaders who promote activism and/or support their communities, something Jacqueline has dedicated much of her career to. In 2006, she founded Copeland Carson & Associates, an international community investment practice that specializes in supporting nonprofits, foundations, and social entrepreneurs. She also founded the Pan-African Women’s Philanthropy Network (PAWPNet), and conducted the initial research and program design for My Brothers Keeper, an initiative later adopted by the Obama administration.
