We connect, inspire and guide women in computing and organizations that view technology innovation as a strategic imperative. AnitaB.org india staff and board are made up of people who are passionate about what women and nonbinary individuals can bring to technology. We understand their needs and have worked inside organizations that view technology innovation as an imperative. Our community extends around the world, driven by the belief that we can accomplish more together than any of us can alone.

Executive Team

 

Brenda Darden Wilkerson
President and CEO
Brenda Darden Wilkerson is an advocate for access, opportunity, and social justice for underrepresented communities in technology. She currently serves as the President and CEO of AnitaB.org, an organization that connects, inspires, and strives for greater equality for women technologists in business, academia, and government. She founded the original Computer Science for All program, building computer science classes into the curriculum for every student in the Chicago Public Schools, and serving as the inspiration for the Obama administration’s national CS For All initiatives.

Shreya Krishnan
Managing Director, India
Shreya Krishnan currently serves as Managing Director, AnitaB.org India. She may also be recognized as Co-Host at past Grace Hopper Celebration events. At a professional level, Shreya was previously EVP Marketing and Communications at Aon India. She is a CSR specialist and a Corporate Grooming Consultant. Shreya serves on the advisory boards of eight organizations and seven NGOs. She is an NLP Practitioner and Gestalt Master Therapist. That’s just one facet of who she is. This former Corporate Diva and Mrs. India Universe 2017 also works in the spaces of activism, dance, theatre, poetry, blogging, sustainability evangelism, modeling, and acting. She considers herself an Earth Warrior and is an event anchor and trainer. Shreya is a champion of inclusion and diversity, and she recently co-authored the book Words Matter, the language that girls need to speak. The book is a compilation of forty words that help the reader to choose their vocabulary in a way that allows them to redefine how human beings are treated.

Karen D’Mello
Head of Community, AnitaB.org India
Karen brings over a decade and a half of experience in the social impact industry to her role as the Community Head of India at AnitaB.org. She continues to demonstrate leadership in driving impactful initiatives to cultivate inclusive communities and advocate for gender equity. Her expertise lies in organizing experiences, forging strategic partnerships, and championing equal opportunities for underrepresented communities. Complementing her experience, she’s an alum of the Goldman Sach’s 10000 Women Program, holding a Master’s Degree in Communication and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, English Literature, and Computer Applications. Her journey is shaped by a deep passion and relentless pursuit for creating tangible meaningful change in the world, with the in-betweens filled with exploration and experimentation on how to get there.

Pranalika Mahanta
Head of Marketing & Events, AnitaB.org India
Pranalika Mahanta is the current brand custodian of AnitaB India entity as the Head of Marketing and Events. She is a seasoned communications professional with expertise in driving transformative brand marketing strategies. She specializes in thought leadership, brand storytelling, employer branding, and growth marketing across industries. In her previous role at Prodigy Education, Pranalika spearheaded initiatives, resulting in a 4X increase in brand visibility. Her leadership also contributed to successful product launches, strong market presence, and achieving revenue targets. With a Master’s degree in Communications and a background in Educational Psychology, Pranalika brings a unique blend of academic insights and real-world experience to the table.
She is a dynamic leader with a passion for building and enhancing brand reputation through innovative strategies, impactful communication, and effective team collaboration. Pranalika is a member at two Non profit organizations that provide financial, educational and psychological support to underprivileged women who aspire to be independent entrepreneurs and make something great out of their lives. She loves music, food, the sea and making people fitter as a certified Zumba instructor.

Durga Gokul
Content & Social Media Manager, AnitaB.org India
Durga’s role as Content & Social Media Manager as AnitaB.org stems from her passion & dedication to writing with purposeful intent. She has been a Senior Marketing Copywriter at IncNut Digital, IBNII, and other brands with a diverse 5+ years of experience. Demonstrated success in crafting compelling websites and social media copy for over 20 clients including state & central government projects, consistently achieving high conversion rates. Specialized in creating impactful ad campaigns for Facebook & Google Ads, contributing to over 2% conversions. She is proficient in conducting audience research to tailor content and improving SEO strategies for better search result rankings. Equipped with certifications in Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing, and Google Digital Marketing. She is deeply passionate about yoga, travel, and fine art.
